Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-11-01
These terms govern your use of dotinvoice (“the Service”), operated by [Legal entity name] (“we”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The Service
dotinvoice is a set of tools for creating business documents such as invoices, quotations, estimates, receipts, proforma invoices and credit notes, which you can download as PDFs. Documents are built and stored in your own browser. We do not hold copies of your documents.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your documents, including amounts, tax rates, tax IDs and dates.
- You must not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to create misleading or fraudulent documents.
- You are responsible for keeping copies of documents you issue. Clearing your browser data may permanently delete unsaved work.
Not legal or tax advice
Documents, templates, tax labels and suggested rates are provided for convenience only. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice, and they do not guarantee compliance with any law or regulation. Check your obligations with a qualified professional.
Sponsors and third-party links
Some pages show sponsored placements, always labelled “Sponsored”. These never appear inside exported documents. Links to third-party websites are provided for your convenience; their terms and privacy practices are theirs, not ours.
Payments
Paid features, where offered, are sold through Dodo Payments or Polar, which process payment as our payment provider. Their checkout terms apply to each purchase, and refunds are handled under the terms shown at checkout.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits or losses arising from documents you issue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Questions can be sent to hello@trydotinvoice.com.
