    What a payslip contains

    A payslip shows the pay period and date, employer and employee details, each earning (basic, allowances, bonus), each deduction (tax, pension or provident fund, insurance), the gross pay, total deductions and net pay.

    Gross pay vs net pay

    Gross pay is everything earned before deductions. Net pay, or take-home, is what is paid into the employee's account after tax and other deductions. This tool calculates both from the lines you enter.
